Dear Doctor Lover,

I have been hanging out with this girl for a few weeks now. I really like her and she really likes me, but her dickhead ex boyfriend really hurt her, and shes not completely over him. She says she wants to be with me. But she wants to wait until she is completely over her ex. She also talks to a lot of guys, but calls them friends. I really want to date her and not lose her! I want to make her fall in love with me but I dont know how. Please help.

Dear Brandon,

There is no real way to make someone fall in love with you. If she is a friendly girl, then she may have lots of male friends. So I don't see a problem there. As for her ex, I look at it like this; its better to have her get herself together now rather than wait while you two are in a much more serious relationship. The last thing that you should want is to be with her for a year and then she leaves you because she never really got over her ex. Let her take that time now and work it out in her mind on who she wants to be with. Just be there for her at this time and give her reasons as to why she should choose you and get over him.
