I met this guy while I was on a holiday trip in Thailand, we clicked from the first minute and we got along well. I'm 24 and he is the same, he is from Singapore and I'm from UK, we decided that we are going to go to NZ to study together but his family has told him that he has to marry his ex which he broke up with before he met me and take her to NZ with him, so he told me today that there is no way that we can be together as his family is very powerful in Singapore and they want him to marry his ex for political reasons. I really love him and would do anything to be with him, how can I get over this? He was so gentle so caring and everything that I ever wanted from a man, so its kind of impossible to forget about him. Should I delete all his numbers and email? How should I deal with this?

I believe that you are spot on when you state that you should delete his numbers and email. From the sounds of it, it sounds like a bunch of nonsense. Even if this story were factual of his family forcing him to be with his ex, he is still a man and he needs to make the decision on his own. If he truly has strong feelings for you, his ex wouldn't be a factor. The end result is that his family isnt making the decision, he is.
