Dear Doctor Lover,

There's this guy i love and he wants to date me, but he has a girlfriend. He told me he doesn't love her and that its me he loves. When i asked him to break up with her, he said he'll do it gradually so as not to hurt her. I think he's lying to me and he just wants to take advantage of me. But he sounds as if he really loves me. Im confused.

There isn't anything to be confused about. Just as he is lying to her, Hes lying to you. But, if you really want to give him the time of day as you already have, then go for it.
